A Gatsby-inspired event benefiting The Phoenix Recovery Academy — Maryland's ONLY Recovery High School
Thursday, November 20
Union Mills Public House
The association's cornerstone philanthropic event is taking place at a new location! Save the date for Thursday, November 20, at Union Mills Public House on Carroll Creek in Downtown Frederick. Money raised by this year's donations will benefit the Phoenix Recovery Academy—Maryland's ONLY recovery high school. Learn more.
In addition to sponsorships and item donations, this event is made possible by the volunteers from FCAR's Community Service Committee. Final donations to the charitable cause are facilitated by the FCARe Fund, FCAR's donor-advised fund, and will help provide student services and scholarships.
For sponsorship questions, contact Natalie McLister, FCAR Operations Director, by calling 301-663-0757 (ext. 1003).
Be Known for What You Love
Sponsoring the auction gets your business in front of our 1,200+ membership and included in event press and social media. (listed our event flyer) Your generosity helps us put on a better event, and a better event means more money raised! Past causes include Terra Nova Retreat Center for veterans, Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, and I Believe In Me, Inc. Last year’s auction raised $23,000 for the Frederick chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Help Raise The Bids
Donating items for the live and silent auctions places you in the company of other Frederick businesses who annually contribute high quality items. One of the best ways to entice bigger bids is through “experience” items like vacation stays, sports tickets, spa packages, backstage tours, etc. The more unique, out-of-the-box, and tempting the item is, the more money we can raise for Phoenix Recovery Academy.
For donation questions, contact Lori Reeder, FCAR Community Service Committee Chair.
For ticketing questions, contact Natalie McLister, FCAR Operations Director, by calling 301-663-0757 (ext. 1003).
Not yet quite, old sport. Ticket sales will open in October. In the meanwhile, you are invited to help spread the word on social media. View one or our Reels on Facebook or Instagram.
Attire: This year's event has a Great Gatsby theme. Don't worry—there's no reading required—but guests are invited to wear their best 1920s-era suits, dresses, and accessories. Need a gilded age fashion refresher? Here are a few ideas. Our Community Service Committee played the part in the announcement Instagram Reel, too.
