The mission of the Frederick County Association of REALTORS® is to support and enhance its members’ professional objectives and adherence to the Code of Ethics. The Association will achieve its mission by providing quality education for members, promoting professional and ethical behavior, and fostering a positive image within our community. The Frederick County Association of REALTORS®, looks to the future in setting our goals to assist our members, affiliates, and other area REALTORS®, as well as the many local communities which we serve.
FCAR is committed to the community, promoting the role of REALTORS® to the public, working with legislators to be involved in the political process and protecting property rights. FCAR works closely with Maryland REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® to achieve these goals.
Providing quality services to our membership incorporates many programs:
First, FCAR is dedicated to offering timely and informative educational courses to help REALTORS® expand their knowledge. Numerous continuing education courses are scheduled throughout the year. All courses are offered to members, as well as, non-members. For additional information, the website is available www.fcar.org.
In addition to outstanding educational program, FCAR offers many other important services including a weekly e-newsletter which covers many important topics related to the real estate industry, an interactive website for members, affiliates and the public to access vital information, monthly membership meetings, and several active committees which work within the association and the community.
Some of FCAR’s most visible committees include the Legislative Committee and the Community Service Committee. The Legislative Committee has been particularly active in monitoring the local political landscape and providing input to governmental agencies on topics related to fair housing, growth, impact fees, property rights, zoning, and many other issues.
FCAR has many other committees with dedicated members who work hard to help the organization reach its goals. Committees, which includes Membership, Education, Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity, Model Forms, Professional Standards, Grievance, and Affordable Housing.
