About the Event
Frederick County Association of REALTORS® (FCAR) is excited to host a Financial Stability Workshop series in collaboration with Housing Frederick. Led by Housing Frederick CEO Mary-Ellen Mitchell, these courses offer practical instruction to help Frederick County residents build financial literacy in areas like budgeting, credit, managing income for monthly bills, avoiding excess debt, and more.
WORKSHOP INFO: BUDGET BASICS
Through this workshop, we will unravel the mystery of credit and credit reports. We will examine the ways credit is analyzed to produce a credit score. Credit affects our ability to spend and save money. Attendees will learn how to get, keep and manage their credit. We will review how to read a credit report and how to contact the 3 credit bureaus to correct mistakes on a report.
